Nike’s run of the Air Max 1 is growing larger again this week, with a new pair surfacing to join this Summer’s ‘Athletic Dept’ collection, coming soon.
Nike’s lineup of the Air Max 1 just keeps growing bigger for 2023. Once a premier running shoe for the brand, the AM1 has since become a legend, as the very first sneaker developed with their signature visible air technology. The silhouette was revived last year for an anniversary celebration, with a wave of new styles emerging regularly for the last few months. This week, a new ‘Athletic Dept’ themed pair has surfaced, set to release this Summer. The pair follows the shoe’s classic color blocking, beginning with a white mesh base and a matching white leather midfoot panel. Light grey suede is added to the heels, with black running around the mudguards, inner lining, and Swooshes. Finally, yellow accents are added to the eyelets and outsole.

Nike’s upcoming ‘Athletic Dept.’ collection has not been announced for release, though the project is expected to release sometime this Summer. The Air Max 1 in white, black, and yellow will be available from the SNKRS app and select retailers, with a price tag of $150.
