Nike’s anniversary celebration of the famed Air Max 1 has been stacking up releases for the rest of the year, adding a new ’87 variant as the year has progressed. This week, we got a release date for the ‘Ale Brown’ pair, coming in October.

We’ve seen a number of releases of new Air Max 1 colorways from Nike in recent weeks, and the Swoosh has plenty more in store for the rest of the year. Recently, we’ve seen the retro running shoe emerge in a new ’87 version, which adds some premium details as well as refining the midsole for a more streamlined look stitching it directly to the upper in place of the usual glue. This week, we got our first look at the AM1 ’87 in a new ‘Ale Brown’ color scheme, which brings a tonal look to the original Air Max model. Dressed from toe to heel in a medium brown, this pair features a wealth of materials, constructing the base layers from suede before adding high quality leathers including some animal leathers for the toe box and Swooshes. Debossed leather tongue patches match the heel branding, while metallic silver eyelets complete the look.
