Nike Air Max 1 ’86 “Royal”

This year Nike released the Air Max 1 ’86 for Air Max Day, bringing back the original ‘Big Bubble’ from Tinker’s OG sketches. Now, the ‘Royal’ color scheme is set to be released for their annual holiday in 2024.

Nike’s Air Max Day releases have been exciting to follow in recent years, usually introducing a new Air silhouette as well as bringing a retro release of a beloved classic, like 2021’s ‘Bacon’ AM90 or this year’s ‘Big Bubble‘ AM1. The latter is technically a brand new shoe – resizing the 1987 silhouette’s airbag to its original design before they had to shrink it to make it wearable long-term. During their SNKRS Showcase livestream yesterday, Nike finally unveiled the ‘Royal’ colorway for the AM1 ’86, bringing another original colorway to the remastered model for Air Max Day 2024. As you would expect, this pair features a bright royal blue suede over its white and grey base layers.
