Last week Nike released the Air Max 1 ‘Big Bubble’, which brought back the shoe’s original design before it had to be adjusted. Now, new colorways are on the horizon, like this ‘Indigo Haze’ look coming in 2023.
Nike is still fresh off their release of the Air Max 1 ’86 last weekend, which revisited the silhouette’s original design, bringing back the larger air bubble that appeared in the first batch of releases in 1987. Now, they appear to be adding more colors to the iconic look, with a new ‘Indigo Haze’ pair emerging this week. Similar to the OG red pair, this look features a white mesh base with pale grey overlays, adding the namesake dark blue shade to the shoe’s mudguards and Swooshes, as well as the outsole. The refined shape and midsole are still there, as are extra details like the size printed on the sockliner.

Nike’s next colorway of their remastered Air Max 1, complete with the original ‘big bubble’ has not been announced for release, though they are expected to release sometime later this year. Featuring a dark ‘Indigo Haze’ blue, pairs are expected to release from the SNKRS app and select retailers with the same $150 price tag.
