Nike’s Golf shoe lineup continues to expand with new colors on some of our favorite models, adapted for the fairways. This week, a new pair of their ’86 Air Max 1, with the big bubbles underfeet, has surfaced, dropping in “Team Red” this Fall.
The Air Max 1 is the latest classic Nike shoe to get the golf treatment in the last few years, as more of their retro styles get a course-ready upgrade. The ’86 variant has become their go-to, bringing the shoe’s original big bubble design to the world of modern-day sports with enhanced traction for the fairways and a slightly modified stance.
The next colorway to launch of this Air Max 1 Golf brings the brand’s signature “Team Red” shade to the model. The look features white mesh underlays, a medium grey suede midfoot panel, and dark red mudguards and other accents. The Swooshes come in a white leather, matching the rest of the model’s linings and midsoles.

Nike’s next colorway of their Air Max 1 ’86 Golf has not been announced for release yet, but is expected to arrive in Fall 2024. The new “Team Red” style will be available from Nike and select retailers, with a price tag of $160.
