The Air Liquid Max is still a brand new silhouette in the Nike catalog, having released in only two colorways so far. Now, Nike has loaded up their simple triple black style of the lifestyle runner to release later this month.
Nike’s special release for this year’s Air Max Day was a brand new silhouette; the Air Liquid Max. While liquid is not actually present inside the shoe, the new model debuted a next-generation Air cushioning system for the shoe’s midsole. The titular Liquid tech is comprised of a series of spherical Air bubbles, arranged to provide support under the most needed areas of the foot, while leaving negative space open to reduce weight and excess material. The model made its debut in the “Poison Dart Frog” neon green style for Air Max Day last month, followed shortly by Fragment Design’s take on the all-new silhouette. Now, Nike has added their first follow-up style to the release calendar for an April 30th drop. The new look comes in a simple triple black build, like the Fragment pair, but without some of the glossy surface finishes, chrome Swooshes, or FRGMNT branding.

Nike’s next release of the new Air Liquid Max silhouette has been scheduled to land this month on April 30th, 2026. This release is only the second in-line edition for the new model, borrowing the classic Triple Black look last seen on Fragment’s special edition. Pairs will be available through Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers for $220.
