After an interesting revival from Stüssy in 2020, the Nike Air Kukini is officially making a return in 2022. Already seen in a number of new styles, a new paint splattered-look surfaced this week, coming soon.

On New Years Day in 1999, Nike introduced the Alpha Project, a new series of shoes focused on identifying and solving performance problems in their products. The Alpha line produced a number of out-of-the-box silhouettes that remain popular to this day, like the Air Presto, as well as some lesser known models, like the Air Kukini, which is set to return in retro form this year. Already teased in a handful of colorways, this week’s addition to the Air Kukini lineup covers the neoprene silhouette in black, adding colorful paint splatters around the upper in blue, red, pink, and orange for a well-used look.
