Nike is gearing up to release the original colorways of its Air Huarache this year, as well as a few new iterations of the classic runner to celebrate its 30th-anniversary. Check out the new “Rattan” colorway made from sustainable materials, coming soon.
The newly remastered Nike Air Huarache is looking to takeover the sneaker world this year, with the Swoosh unleashing a handful of new and classic colorways in just the past two months. This week, we have an early look at the next step for the vintage running shoe, which brings the Huarache into the realm of sustainability with this new “Rattan” colorway. Mixing in recycled fibers for the shoe’s neoprene and mesh layers, the “Rattan” look begins with a white base layer, reinforced by leather overlays with leaf-like engravings across them. The signature heel counter comes in a speckled dark brown shade, matching the outsole and tongue’s Huarache branding. Cork insoles make this pair a little extra breathable, while faded pink laces complete the look.
