Nike’s remastered Air Huarache is here to stay, with plenty of new colorways set to release all year long. Today, we have an early look at the new ‘Next Nature’ version of the shoe, coming soon.

Last year, Nike officially unveiled their ‘Move to Zero‘ initiative, which aims to help bring the Swoosh’s carbon footprint to near zero. Since then, we’ve seen a number of new sustainable practices implemented into the brand’s production processes, most notably the ‘Next Nature’ series of sneakers that rebuilds some of the Swoosh’s essential models with a high percentage of recycled materials. This week, the classic Air Huarache joined Nike’s slate of upcoming releases, the latest silhouette to go ‘green’. The new sustainable version of the Huarache also introduces some interesting material choices, namely the woven webbing underlays that makeup the shoe’s toe box and quarter panels. White leather overlays add more structure, while recycled rubber takes over the midsole and heel signature heel cage. This Huarache follows a relatively simple color scheme, arriving in a largely white build with chili red accents throughout.
