Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the silhouette, Nike is set to bring back the Air Griffey Max 1 “Freshwater” for 2021.
Originally released in 1996, the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 has been back multiple times but this return is a lot more special with the 25th Anniversary year being played out next year. The last time we saw the fan-favorite Freshwater edition return was back in 2016 to celebrate Griffey’s induction to the Hall of Fame and now the colorway is back for another special event. Dressed in White, Black, Freshwater and Varsity Red, the special colorway is reminiscent of the classic Seattle Mariners colorway which makes the sneaker even more attractive to fans and sneakerheads alike. Boasting a white and black upper, teal, and red accents are added throughout the vintage sneaker. A matching midsole and outsole along with a 24 on the ankle finish off the returning design.
