Nike is all in on the Air Force 1’s fortieth anniversary this year, releasing fresh styles by the dozen. This week, the classic low-top version emerged in a new ‘White Python’ makeup, coming soon.
As you might have noticed by now, the Air Force 1 is everywhere this year. That’s not to say the shoe hasn’t been incredibly popular in recent years, but 2022 marks a whopping forty years of the basketball classic, and Nike is not shy of celebrating their historic silhouettes. So far, we’ve seen new AF1 releases on a near weekly basis, with plenty more still in the chamber for the rest of the year. Our attention has turned to the ‘White Python’ edition that surfaced this week, which takes the low-top version to new heights with the addition of snakeskin overlays on top of crisp white tumbled leather. The look is finished by a sail white midsole with platinum grey outsole, inner lining, and a wide gauge mesh tongue for breathability.
NIKE AIR FORCE 1 ‘WHITE PYTHON’ RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s fortieth anniversary of the Air Force 1 continues, this time with the special-edition ‘White Python’ release, though no specific date has been announced yet. The premium version of the AF1 will likely launch from both Nike and select retailers, with an elevated price tag of at least $150. UPDATE 9/10/22: Nike has slated the ‘White Python’ colorway of the Air Force 1 Low to release later this month, on September 22nd, 2022. The premium edition of the classic shoe will be available via the SNKRS app for $140.
