Nike’s push for more sustainable sneaker releases have resulted in a wave of exciting material changes for some classic sneakers. This week, the Air Force 1 Hemp surfaced in a second, white-based color scheme.
Nike’s Air Force 1 offerings are plentiful so far in 2022, with new colorways arriving on a weekly basis in celebration of the classic model’s fortieth anniversary. Recently, we got an early look at a new pair expected to release this year that rebuilds the classic court sneaker in a new hemp construction, as a part of Nike’s Move to Zero sustainability campaign. While that pair featured a colorful palette and high-contrast color blocking, a second style has emerged this weekend, which casts the AF1 Hemp in a largely white style. Featuring a knit textile build, this Air Force adds colorful accents in the form of a bold orange swoosh, sky blue heel counter, and pale green tongues to add to the otherwise white color blocking.
