Nike’s relationship to the country of China has led the brand to produce many regional exclusive and themed releases of popular sneakers, a trend continuing this year. Check out the new Air Force 1 “The Great Unity”, coming soon.

Nike’s Air Force 1 has been the canvas for some of the Swoosh’s most exciting projects since its introduction in 1982. Still a staple of the brand’s lifestyle offerings the AF1 has also become an essential piece of the custom sneaker world, acting as the number-one go-to canvas for special one-of-one themed customs or colorways. This week, a new iteration has surfaced on social media, showing off a special pair inspired by the Chinese philosophy of “The Great Unity”, a utopian ideal in which the world is imagined to be perfectly at peace, balanced between everyone and everything. The new look begins with a white leather base AF1, with printed graphics on the quarter panels and heels, the former showing a human head drawn in geometric lines, while the heels show “The Great Unity” branding alongside a tiny Swoosh. Colorful heel counters and iridescent metal lace dubraes round out the special release.
