Nike’s Air Force 1 takes on new concepts and designs every year, usually fitting each release into seasonal categories. This week, we have our first look at Winter 2021, decking out the silhouette to create the Air Force 1 Shell.
The Nike Air Force 1 is one of the Swoosh’s favorite sneaker canvasses, using the silhouette as a base for all kinds of special-edition versions and seasonal iterations, like the new Air Force 1 Shell set to release this Fall. Borrowing the winter boot-like designs from year’s past, the AF1 Shell takes a much slimmer approach this year, beginning by adding a high-top layer of water-resistant fabric to the shoe, covering the many seams with a new nearly one-piece design. The new design for the Shell also adds an adjustable closure system to the high ankle, allowing you to cinch the shoe tightly around your legs to prevent any water from getting inside. While information regarding the new Air Force 1 Shell is scarce, we do know the silhouette will make its debut in Provence Purple and Sail color schemes.
NIKE AIR FORCE 1 SHELL RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s upcoming shrouded Air Force 1 Shell has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to launch in the coming weeks ahead of the rainy season. The high-top AF1 will be available in “Provence Purple” and “Sail” colorways at launch, with a price tag of $150 for a pair.
