Nike continues to deliver excellent premium editions of the classic Air Force 1 this season, adding a pair with metallic silver Swooshes and gum rubber midsoles this August.
As you might have noticed by now, the Air Force 1 is everywhere this year. That’s not to say the shoe hasn’t been incredibly popular in recent years, but 2022 marks a whopping forty years of the basketball classic, and Nike is not shy of celebrating their historic silhouettes. So far, we’ve seen new AF1 releases on a near weekly basis, with plenty more still in the chamber for the rest of the year. Gearing up for a release this August, a new ‘Metallic’ look has surfaced, which decks out the upper of the Air Force in crisp white leather, paired with metallic silver Swooshes on either side. Fitted with a silver lace dubrae to match, this look is completed by a semi-translucent gum rubber midsole, and hot pink Swooshes only visible through the outsole.
NIKE AIR FORCE 1 PREMIUM ‘METALLIC’ RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s fortieth anniversary of the Air Force 1 continues, with this ‘Metallic’ Premium edition currently rumored to release in August of 2022. The clean white version of the AF1 will likely launch from both Nike and select retailers, with an elevated price tag of at least $150. UPDATE 9/2/22: Nike has a slated this upscale Air Force 1 for release, scheduled to drop next week on September 8th, 2022. Pairs will be available via the SNKRS app for $150.
