Nike’s Air Force 1 is easily one of the brand’s most iconic shoes. Since the first release, the silhouette has seen countless reinterpretations and colorways. This year, the Swoosh is switching up the branding, opting for the old school NSW logo.
Nike’s has gone through many changes over the years since they began as Blue Ribbon Sports back in the 1960’s. One of the many things to be revised over and over is the company’s logos and branding. While the now-iconic Swoosh can be found on just about every release of the past several years, things weren’t always so simple. The brand used to go by the name Nike Sportswear, which is now used synonymously with just Nike, though the old branding rarely makes an appearance on their products. This year, the Air Force 1 Low aims to change that, by replacing the usual Nike Air logos with an old cursive NSW script. The simple lettering will be featured on the chenille heel tabs of a new “NSW” pack, which includes both white & red colorways. The old-school NSW look will cover the insoles of each pair.
