Nike’s Air Force 1 Mid is set to return in 2022, reviving one of the most elusive forms of the beloved basketball shoe. This week, the AF1 Mid surfaced in a bold new “Fruit Basket”-inspired look, coming soon.

We are only halfway through February, and already we have seen a decent handful of new colorways of the Nike Air Force 1 Mid set to drop throughout the year. We just wish the released had started sooner, because some of these new colorways look fantastic. Revived in celebration of the shoe’s fortieth-anniversary celebration in 2022, the Air Force 1 Mid will make a full retro return this year, starting with some classics like the “Independence Day” pair from 1997. However, Nike is also prepping some fresh new styles to add to their offerings, like this pair we’ve dubbed the “Fruit Basket”. Featuring an off-white suede base layer, this pair adds overlays in red and yellow snakeskin and forest green suede, when, combined with the Nike Air branding on the heels and tongues, points to the fruit theme.

Nike’s latest colorway of the Air Force 1 Mid to surface, showing off a “Fruit Basket”-inspired look, has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to launch sometime in Spring 2022. The colorful new look will likely be available from both Nike and select retailers, carrying the usual price tag of $140.
