Nike’s Color of the Month series with the Air Force 1 has slowly added new colorways to its lineup, extending the project into 2023. This week, we got an early look at a ‘Summit White’ Air Force 1 Mid Jewel, coming soon.
In the 1980s, Paul Blinken and Harold Rudo approached Nike with a fresh idea to release monthly colors through their retailers in the Baltimore area. Taking the Air Force 1 as the canvas, Nike applied simple, classic color schemes to the basketball shoe and released them exclusively through Blinken and Rudo’s stores in the DMV area. Now, Nike has been rehashing the beloved project, releasing regular new styles around the world. Today, we got an early look at a new pair of the Air Force 1 Mid Jewel, which joins the series in a crisp ‘Summit White’ color scheme. The shoe’s leather upper is cast entirely in smooth white leather, with the signature Jewel Swooshes added in a semi-translicent milky tone, matching the shoe’s outsole. A white toothbrush is added as well, featuring the same ‘Since 1982.’ branding as previous releases.

Nike’s upcoming release of the Air Force 1 Mid Jewel for the Color of the Month series has not been announced for release, though they are expected to arrive in stores sometime in the coming months. Cast in a pure ‘Summit White’ colorway with toothbrushes attached, pairs of the clean look will be available from both Nike’s website and select retailers for $140.
