The Air Force 1 Mid is getting an upgrade this Winter, with Nike revealing the shoe’s underfoot Air bubbles for the new Evo edition, which also amends the upper for a unique new look.
The Air Force 1 Mid returned last year, making the entire AF1 family widely available. Since then, we’ve seen plenty of in-line releases as well as special-edition collaborations, like the Off-White pairs that are releasing soon. Now, Nike has a new style of the Mid on the way this year, making some interesting changes to the shoes’ construction. Dubbed the AF1 Mid Evo, the most major change is the midsole, which now features visible Air bags along the heels and forefoot in a brilliant shade of green. The upper also removes the Swoosh as an overlay, instead cutting out the branding on the sides to reveal a nylon textile underneath, with exposed, wavy edges reminiscent of the NB Protection Pack. The same wavy edges are seen on the heel tabs as well. The Evo is seen here in a sail white color scheme, with hints of coconut milk to complete its neutral palette.
