Nike is bringing back the Air Force 1 Mid this year, with an avalanche of colorways poised to drop throughout the year. This week, the 1998 “Chocolate” quick-strike has surfaced, rehashed for the shoe’s fortieth anniversary.

By now, you’ve probably noticed an influx of Nike Air Force 1 Mid colorways flooding both sneaker stores and release calendars. If you haven’t noticed that these releases fall on the fortieth anniversary of the Air Force 1, then you might want to pay more attention. One of the Swoosh’s most popular shoes ever, the brand is celebrating the incredible milestone in 2022 with dozens of new and exciting colors and styles, as well as rehashing some classics, like the 1998 “Chocolate” quick-strike that emerged today. Now twenty-four years old, this color scheme is an Instagram-sneaker-mood-board dream, dressing the upper in soft brown suede, paired with an off-white cream tone for the laces, Swooshes, and midsole that give the shoe an ‘aged’ look.
