Nike’s use of animal prints in their sneakers have always brought an extra level of flare to their releases, but the upcoming ‘Animal Instinct’ pack kicks things up a notch, covering the Air Force 1 Mid and other styles in a number of patterns.

Nike has regularly applied animal-inspired materials to some of their best silhouettes over the years, creating sought-after releases with snakeskin overlays and other luxurious leathers and textiles with signature animal patterns. This week, we got an early look at a new ‘Animal Instinct’ collection, which takes things to another level through a number of different animal patterns on the same shoes. Today, we are looking at the pack’s Air Force 1 Mid, which begins with a simple white leather base, but it gets pretty crazy from there. The toe box is outlined in a snakeskin pattern mudguard, while the lacing system features a jaguar spot-pattern in suede. The heel sections come in black & white zebra print, and the whole look is finished with a bright pink midsole.

Nike’s upcoming ‘Animal Instinct’ collection has not been officially slated for release, though we expect to see them arrive in stores sometime this season. Seen here is the Air Force 1 in zebra, jaguar, and snakeskin, which will be available from both the SNKRS app and select retailers, likely with a price tag of $140 or more.
