Nike has been on a world tour this year, rolling out special-edition pairs of the Air Force 1 for an updated take on their iconic City Series releases. With the “Paris” and “Las Vegas” pairs behind us, the next release from Shanghai is coming this Fall.
The Nike City Series is a long-standing tradition of the brand, which takes an iconic silhouette on a world tour of special-edition releases inspired by major metropolitan areas. The Air Jordan 10 has participated, as well as the SB Dunk, and most recently, the Air Force 1. Announced during their late 2023 SNKRS Showcase event, the brand unveiled special styles for Las Vegas, Paris, and Shanghai, of which the first two have already releases. Now, we have an official look at the final stop on the globetrotting releases.
The “Shanghai” pair of the Air Force 1 Low is almost here, nearly a year after its announcement and unveiling back in November 2023. The look features a striking red patent leather base for its upper, paired with flax brown nubuck leather for its outer layers, with ballistic nylon Swooshes and heel tabs to round out the mixed materials. Special branding appears on the tongues as well as the insides of the shoe in red embroidery to add an extra touch.
NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW “SHANGHAI” RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s latest entry in their Air Force 1 City Series collection has not been officially announced yet, but is likely coming soon sometime in Fall 2024. The “Shanghai” pair combines flax brown nubuck with bright red patent leather, and will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $130.
