Nike’s Air Force 1 has been a staple of the brand’s arsenal since it first appeared in the 1980s, evolving from a performance hoop shoe to the style juggernaut it is today. This week, the Swoosh is adding gold foil accents to the classic silhouette.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low is an all-time classic sneaker. Introduced in the mid-1980s as the brand’s premier leather basketball shoe, the legend of the Uptown has been growing steadily ever since. Now offered as a casual lifestyle shoe from Nike, the leather and Air-filled silhouette return this month with a regal new look, which adds shiny gold foil overlays to any and all of the AF1’s Nike branding. The base of the latest color scheme paints the silhouette entirely in white, before the Swoosh, heel tabs, tongue branding, and Nike Air sock liners are dipped in a metallic gold finish, even adding new gold Swoosh lace jewels to show off.
