Nike’s Air Force 1 is constantly dropping in new versions, featuring slightly tweaked design elements. This month, the AF1 Low is showing off some new hardware, adding carabiner Swooshes to the outer panels, coming soon.

Nike has released dozens, if not hundreds of different iterations of the Air Force 1 since the shoes launch in 1982, switching out materials, branding, and trying out new panelling. Some of these changes stick, and some don’t, but one thing remains consistent: the classic Air Force 1 Low is above and beyond the best version of the silhouette. So, for their latest experiment with the beloved model, Nike is only making subtle changes to the silhouette that do not affect the general look. These changes come in the form of new Swoosh-shaped carabiners, affixed to the small leather Swooshes adorning the lateral sides of each shoe, seemingly attached via colorful wire strands. This new Air Force 1 also adds a stash pocket to the tongue, which has been reconstructed in a ripstop material for this release.
