Nike has begun to incorporate elements from dress shoes into their sneakers, like with this Air Force 1 Low Brogue that launches in a “Triple White” style this Spring.
Nike has experimented with adding upscale footwear elements to their iconic shoes for decades, most notably when they purchased Cole Haan to cross into the world of dress shoes. Recently, they’ve revitalized their efforts, initially through the PeaceMinusOne Kwondo sneaker that first arrived in 2022. Last year, a pair of Dunks got a similar treatment, followed by the debut of the Air Force 1 Low Brogue. This version of the classic silhouette adds crimp cut edges to the midfoot panels and kilties to the heels, both signatures of dress shoes. This week, the AF 1 Brogue surfaced in a simple triple-white color scheme, adding a hint of pink to the midsole stitching and bright green Nike branding.
