Nike has been dropping monthly releases of the Air Force 1 for their Color of the Month series, calling back a string of releases from the 80s. This week, the ‘Smoke Grey’ Air Force 1 Jewel joins the project.

In the 1980s, Paul Blinken and Harold Rudo approached Nike with a fresh idea to release monthly colors through their retailers in the Baltimore area. Taking the Air Force 1 as the canvas, Nike applied simple, classic color schemes to the basketball shoe and released them exclusively through Blinken and Rudo’s stores in the DMV area. Now, Nike has been rehashing the beloved project, releasing regular new styles around the world. This week, the Swoosh unveiled their latest addition to the series, adding the Air Force 1 Jewel to the project in a ‘Smoke Grey’ color scheme. The shoes are constructed from a pale grey suede, with jewel Swooshes in a matching tone and a white midsole to complete the look.
