Nike is all in on their Air Force 1 released this year, celebrating forty years of the landmark shoe. This week, the AF1 High emerged in a clean white and blue color ’40’ scheme, coming soon.

The history of the Nike Air Force 1 should not be anything new to even the most novice sneakerhead. Originally released in 1982, the basketball-turned-lifestyle model is one of the most popular shoes on earth, thanks to its timeless look and endless color and material options. We’ve already seen dozens of releases of the classic sneaker this year, with plenty honoring the monumental anniversary of the silhouette, but this week’s addition of the Air Force 1 High is something special. With an upper cast in ‘Sail’ white leather, this look adds a fresh blue tone to the Swooshes and collar straps, as well as heel tabs and midsole AIR branding. Embroidered Swooshes along the toes also appear in blue, while gold eyelets and an embossed ’40’ on the heels complete the look.
