Nike released their first Air Force 1 Low “Easter” back in 2006. The shoe was a must-have release then and is still a classic by many standards. Now, the Swoosh has prepared another offering of the AF1 under the “Easter” name, though it’s dropping a month late.

The Nike Air Force 1 is easily the most famous sneaker silhouette of all time. Due to its popularity in the lifestyle category rather than its original basketball purpose, the shoe has seen hundreds of variations over the years. One of the most famous pairs was 2006’s special “Easter” colorway, which covered the shoe in a mixed bag of pastel patent leather. The shoe obtained grail status fairly quickly, rising as one the wackier Air Force 1s to release. For 2018, Nike decided to redesign the Spring holiday color scheme for a more modern style. This time around, the “Easter” AF1 Low will come constructed from several materials including patent leather, suede, nubuck, and tumbled leather, all of which come in pastel primary colors. Each of the materials appears to be of very high quality, making these a great pickup for the sunny months ahead.

The timing of this drop is a little strange. Whether Nike simply couldn’t have the pairs made in time, or they have other reasons, this show would have been perfect for an April 1st release. However, given the colorful nature of the shoe and the Cinco De Mayo drop date, maybe the Swoosh has bigger plans for this new Air Force 1 Low than we originally assumed.
