Nike’s Flyknit version of the classic Air Force 1 has cycled through several iterations of the design in recent years. This week, we have an early look at the next entry, which introduces exciting knit patterns to the AF1 Crater Flyknit.

Nike’s Flyknit technology has taken a backseat to some of the brand’s more recent innovations in terms of the spotlight, yet it remains one of the most important footwear advances of our lifetime. Creating sneakers that adapt to nearly any movements, Flyknit inspired brands across the board to adopt their own knit technologies. Now, Flyknit is a staple oof the Swoosh, appearing on a large portion of Nike’s releases. This week, we have an early look at a new version of the Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit, which utilizes a recycled yarn upper alongside a recycled rubber midsole for a more sustainable shoe. The new version also introduces camouflage Flyknit patterns, adding a new layer of depth to what Nike can create with the sock-like material.
