Nike has produced most of the iconic basketball shoes from the ’80s and ’90s, and regularly rereleases them to fanfare from the community. This year, the Air Alpha Force 88 is making a comeback, featuring this ‘Light Bone’ colorway.
Nike is pulling another classic silhouette out of their archives this year. Originally released in 1988, the Air Alpha Force is a low-top basketball model that rarely makes an appearance on shelves. The shoe was briefly worn by Michael Jordan himself, though the shoe has always taken a backseat to his own signature line of sneakers. The model has already been seen in one color scheme, which is rumored to be made in collaboration with Billie Eilish, and now, an in-line ‘Light Bone’ colorway has surfaced. This pair covers the shoe in a full suede upper, in tonal off-white coloring, from the forefoot strap to the leather Swooshes. The only splash of color comes from the orange basketball on the tongues.
