Nike is taking another stab at the retro Air 180 this year, delivering a remastered version of the silhouette with colorways new and old. This week, a fresh take on the shoe in “Hyper Crimson” has surfaced, coming soon.
Thirty-three years ago Nike launched the Air 180, a new running shoe in their Air Max family. The model debuted a larger, more durable style of the signature Air bag in the heels, and spawned a new era for innovation in cushioning. Now, after its last retro run in 2018, the Swoosh has rolled out the model once more, supposedly having remastered the shoe’s shape and fit.
This week, another new style for the Air 180 has popped up, expected to release later in Fall 2024. This latest look is much darker than some of their previous pairs this year like the “Baltic Blue” look. Instead, the model comes almost entirely in jet black, adding “Hyper Crimson” accents to the inner lining, outsole, and Nike branding.

Nike’s next new color scheme of their retro Air 180 has not been officially announced for release yet, but is expected to drop sometime in Fall 2024. Dressed in black with Hyper Crimson accents, pairs will be available from Nike and select retailers like size? for $150.
