Nike’s Adapt technology has been hard to come by in the recent months, as the brand continues to develop the advanced machinery inside. This week, we have a look at their first new silhouette for 2020, the Adapt LE 01.

Nike is steadily growing their releases of the famous Adapt technology that originally debuted back in 2015 with the Air Mag. Since then, the motorized auto-lacing innovation has been added to a total of four consumer-ready silhouettes, the Hyperadapt 1.0, Adapt BB 1.0, Huarache Adapt, and most recently, the Adapt BB 2.0. Now, Nike we have a first look at the next silhouette in line to release, the Adapt LE 01. This time around, Nike is trying something new, by placing a classic Air Max bubble underneath where we assume the motor to be, providing more cushioning for the wearer, at the cost of an enormous midsole. Split into two distinct parts, the LE 01’s midsole features one section of printed white rubber, and a second with a distinct tread pattern that extends up the side of the show. The upper appears to be constructed from a single piece of neoprene-like material, molded to hide bulges from the Adapt lacing system.

NIKE ADAPT LE 01 FIRST LOOK

Nike’s latest addition to their auto-lacing Adapt lineup, the LE 01, has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to debut sometime in the coming weeks. Combined with Air Max technology, the LE 01 will likely come with a higher price point than most Adapt models, and release exclusively from Nike.
