Nike ACG’s Mountain Fly was a hit in 2021, delivering an excellent outdoor silhouette at the height of a newfound hiking and camping culture. Now, the ACG team is gearing up to launch the Mountain Fly Low in Gore-Tex, coming soon.

Nike’s ACG Mountain Fly is sticking around for the new year. Originally introduced late in 2020 with its high-top, Gore-Tex-clad version, the ACG Mountain Fly followed with a low-top release early this year, before re-releasing in both iterations throughout the course of 2021. However, each of the low-cut versions lacked one of the high-top’s most alluring features, Gore-Tex. Now, we have an early look at a new waterproof iteration of the Mountain Fly Low set to drop early in 2022. The new version makes some slight changes to the layering and construction of the upper, removing the ripstop nylon in favor of more resistant textiles, and leaning more heavily into taped seams for added water protection. The Mountain Fly Low Gore-Tex will debut in a subtle “Lime Ice” colorway, dousing the shoe in a pale green tone and paired with a gum rubber outsole.
