The Nike ACG Mountain Fly was a hit when it debuted late in 2020, followed shortly by the low-top variation in 2021. Now, the trail-ready model is adding new colors on a seasonal basis, like this “Brown Basalt” look coming soon.

The Nike ACG Mountain Fly made its debut last year, delivering a high-top, Gore-Tex-laden hiking shoe for the ages. Shortly afterward, in January of this year, the ACG team unveiled its follow-up, the Mountain Fly Low. Instantly a hit among ACG heads, the Mountain Fly Low continues the shoe’s use of the full-length React midsole, with a less constricting upper and lower collar height, as well as material changes to provide non-Gore-Tex waterproofing solutions. Additionally, the low-top variation continues to release in new colorways, unlike the high-top, like this new “Brown Basalt” look previewed online earlier this week. The new look rehashes the Mountain Fly almost entirely in its namesake shade of brown, with the addition of black taped overlays and purple ACG branding strategically places around the shoe.
