Nike’s ACG team first introduced their Mountain Fly silhouette several years ago, coming in both low- and high-top versions. This week, we got our first look at the Mountain Fly Low 2, coming in Summer 2023.
Nike’s outdoor division is preparing for a new sneaker release this year, building on the popular Mountain Fly Low that first launched back in 2021. The shoe’s second version rebuilds the upper, pairing it with a modified version of the same tooling that came on the original pairs. Arriving initially in ‘Neutral Olive’ and ‘Laser Orange’ color schemes, the new design begins with a nylon base layer for the upper, adding a synthetic grid overlay for the mudguard. The ACG block letter branding features prominently on the outer sides, while a toggle lacing system adds some extra functionality to the shoes. The outsole features an upgraded lug system for better grip on uneven surfaces, stretching up to cover the toes.
