Last year, Nike ACG unveiled the Gore-Tex-clad Mountain Fly, a highly unique outdoor shoe featuring some of the best of the brand’s running technologies. Now, the silhouette returns in a new “Clay Green” color this season.
Just in time for the rain and snow, Nike’s ACG team has cooked up a new colorway of the fan-favorite Mountain Fly Gore-Tex sneaker. Originally introduced last winter, the Mountain Fly was the first non-running Nike sneaker to incorporate the brand’s signature FlyPlate in the midsole, a curved piece of carbon fiber that helps rebound your feet with each step. Additionally, the Mountain-Fly’s high-top iteration was built with Gore-Tex materials, keeping your feet dry through nearly any conditions. While its been a while since we saw a new release of the Mountain Fly, Nike ACG has been hard at work behind closed doors crafting this new “Clay Green” color scheme, decking out the silhouette in a soft green shade, paired with jet black neoprene and vibrant pink accents.

Nike ACG’s latest colorway of the Mountain Fly Gore-Tex has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to land sometime in December 2021, launching from both Nike and select retailers. The “Clay Green” color scheme will retain the $220 price tag of the original colors.
