Nike’s All Conditions Gear archives are filled to the brim with exciting outdooring gear from their nearly 60-year history. This week, the ACG division is reviving another fan-favorite silhouette from the ’90s, the wacky Air Deschutz sandal.

1990’s Nike ACG was an entirely different label. Filled with bright colors and flashy new materials, the last decade of the millennium brought plenty of new inspiration to Nike’s various design teams. Now, over 20 years later, the minds behind All Conditions Gear, the Swoosh’s outdoor division, are reviving some of their favorite silhouettes, materials, and colorways from ACG’s greatest era. This week, the announcement of their Summer 2020 collection included the return of the Air Deschutz, a strappy walking sandal originally released in 1992. This kind of sandal has come a long way since the ’90s, forcing its way into the pop culture lexicon through influence from fashion heads like John Mayer, Ezra Koenig, and more. For this initial release, the Air Deschutz will release in three colorways: one triple black, black with midnight blue straps, volt green, and a brighter mix of teal, yellow, and purple.
