New Balance has had massive success in recent years with their new models, introducing the 327 and 237 to critical acclaim. Now, the Boston brand has something entirely different up their sleeve. Check out the XC-72, coming soon.
The New Balance XC-72 is one of the wildest new styles we’ve seen from the Boston brand in the past few years. While other recent new models like the 327 and 237 feel both tame and athletic in their design, the XC-72 is like their alien spaceship equivalent. Sporting an aggressive stance and some interesting lines, the key feature of the new silhouette is the striking rubber outsole that wraps up and around the outer toe of each shoe. While we have seen some colorways of the XC-72 previously, particularly some collaborative colorways with Casablanca, today we have our first look at a “Multicolor” iteration of the new silo, sporting various colored suede overlay panels from front to back and side to side of this pair. Some of the colors include shades of blue, green, orange, red, and pink, while sand-colored nylon base layers and black oversized ‘N’ logos complete the look.

New Balance’s impending debut of the wild new XC-72 sneaker has received a tentative release date of Friday, September 4th, 2021. The eclectic “Multicolor” styling will likely be available from both New Balance and select retailers, with a price tag of $130 for the initial release.
