New Balance Joins the Molded Foam Slipper Game with the Clog

If you haven’t noticed quite yet, slip-on mule shoes are everywhere right now. The past two months alone have seen a number of releases in this style from every major footwear brand, and now, New Balance is joining the fray with the Clog.

Molded foam shoes are slowly taking over the world of footwear. Originated by Crocs well over a decade ago, sneaker brands are slowly rolling out their takes on the simple and comfortable shoes, with everyone from Converse to adidas & Yeezy releasing their own iterations. Now, New Balance has quietly debuted their version of the injection-molded footwear, which launched overseas in Korea this week. Simply dubbed the Clog, the design slightly resembled the shape of the brand’s XC-72 silhouette, removing the laces and heel sections to create a slip-on model with some gaps in the structure to facilitate airflow. The brand’s oversized ‘N’ logo is present on either side, along with the New Balance brand mark towards the rear. The Clog will debut in two colors, beige and black.

NEW BALANCE THE CLOG RELEASE INFORMATION

New Balance’s slip-on mule simply dubbed the Clog has already seen its debut release this week, dropping initially in Korea. However, we are expecting a global release in the coming weeks for the molded foam silhouette. Available in beige and black, the Clog is expected to come with a price tag of approximately $70, releasing from both New Balance and select retailers. Check out the campaign images below for a better look, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for a potential release via New Balance.
