Teddy Santis and New Balance are gearing up to release their Season 4 of the Made in USA series, which will include more colorways of the 998, like this ‘Chocolate’ brown style.
This Summer, New Balance added a range of styles to their Made in USA program, reaching behind the 990 lineage to add other models from the 99x family, namely the 998 and 996. While related in their origins as distance running shoes, both silhouettes have their own unique look and potential for color blocking. This week, we got an early look at a new pair of the 998 for the forthcoming Made in USA Seasonal Collection, which dresses the shoe in a ‘Chocolate’ brown palette. The look begins with a light green mesh base layer, adding mid layers in lush green and light brown suede, before applying the darker brown shade to its exterior paneling. The ‘N’ logos come in kelly green with a white outline, while white linings and midsoles complete the new style.

New Balance’s next release of their Made in USA 998 from the fourth Seasonal Collection will arrive late this month, on December 28th, 2023. Dressed in a dark “Rich Earth” brown with green accents, pairs will likely be available from both NB and select retailers for $185.
