English artist Mr. Doodle’s sketches and characters have been all over Instagram in recent years, and its no wonder a sneaker brand like PUMA decided to apply some of his unique graphics to their shoes. Check out the Mr. Doodle x PUMA collection, coming soon.
Sam Cox has a tendency to create his own worlds with his doodles. Populated by zany smiling characters and built around odd shapes and curves, the English artist known as Mr. Doodle has been doodling on anything he can get his hands on, from walls to furniture to cars, and now, sneakers. This week, the 23-year-old artist announced his first project with German sneaker brand PUMA, teaming up to decorate a number of their sneaker silhouettes with his doodles. Among the collection are the RS-2K, the Sky LX low, and the Leadcat sandal, each decorated with doodles in their own way. The RS-2K is the most minimal look, featuring doodles printed on small sections of the midsole, whereas the Sky LX Low opts for an all-over midsole print, which the Leadcat follows closely. All three pairs also feature a black/white/”Dragon Fire” color scheme, making them stand out on feet.
MR. DOODLE X PUMA COLLECTION RELEASE INFORMATION
The upcoming collection from Mr. Doodle and PUMA, featuring the RS-2K, the Sky LX Low, and a Leadcat sandal, has been scheduled to release next month, on August 14th, 2020. Covered in Mr. Doodle’s signature characters and sketches, the shoes range in price from $60 for the Leadcat to $120 for the RS-2K and will be available from both PUMA and select retailers.
