The character-driven collaboration between Marvel and adidas continues this season, adding to the ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green’ project from the larger Disney umbrella. This time, the formidable Dr. Doom graces the classic Stan Smith.
Disney first teamed up with Marvel for the ‘Being Green’ collection several years ago, crafting special-edition sneakers around all of the colored characters under their colossal umbrella of IP. From Kermit the frog to Mike Wazowski and the Hulk, there collection spans a massive number of beloved icons. This season, Marvel returns with another green-themed release, this time crafting a Dr. Doom-themed Stan Smith. Using the Primegreen iteration of the shoe, which utilizes recycled materials or the upper, the look comes in all-white leather, with portraits of the God Emperor Doom and Stan Lee on the tongues. Doom’s name appears again on the lateral sides in silver foil branding, while classic Kirby art graces the insoles of both shoes.

The latest collaboration from Marvel and adidas has not been announced for release yet, though they are expected to drop sometime in 2022. The ‘Dr. Doom’ Stan Smith will be available from the brand’s website in the coming weeks, with a price tag of $130.
