As part of their “Heroes Among Us” collection, adidas and Marvel put forth a Marquee Boost dressed in a “Thor” theme. Combining the performance aspect of the shoe with the inner-hero in everyone, this new model combines the cultural importance of both basketball and superheroes alike.
With the NBA Playoffs in full swing, adidas and Marvel came together for a hero-inspired collection stretching across several of their silhouettes. The Marquee Boost focuses on the persona and characteristics of “Thor” and embodies them throughout their basketball model. Built off their classic structure, adidas adds extra cushioning for more comfort while considering performance. This “Thor” inspired sneaker capitalizes the importance of the game, while given powers to those who are worthy of wearing the shoe.
Composed of a multicolored upper, the Marquee Boost parallels Thor’s iconic costume design and embodies his heroic color palette. Donning a contrasting red and gray overarching colorway, the model is accentuated with gold highlights and a Boosted sole. The front portion of the sole adds an extra translucent layer and creates a pair that any hero would be proud to wear.
