Nike has tapped Toronto’s Makeway for a new project this monthm marking the first Swoosh collab for the women-oriented sneakers & streetwear boutique. Check out the “Party-6000” edition of the P-6000, coming soon.
Makeway has been paving the way for women in streetwear and sneakers since its founding back in 2020. Founders Shelby Weaver and Abby Albino launched their store with the intention of providing a go-to destination for women’s sneakers and streetwear in Toronto, and have grown their offering of brands tremendously since then. This week, they’ve announced a collaboration with Nike; a landmark project for the women’s sneaker scene.
Makeway’s first project with Nike features a low-key Swoosh silhouette, the P-6000, that was originally released exclusively in women’s sizing. The model combines several past Pegasus models into one, creating a layered, complex model ripe for fun color blocking. Makeway has made full use of this for their “Party-6000” edition of the shoe. The pair sports a mesh base in both white and an apricot shade, using clear plastic overlays to show off the colors underneath. Pale blue accents adorn the laces and heels, while more apricot makes up the Swooshes and outsoles.
