With Virgil Abloh leading the innovative, Louis Vuitton has entered into the skating world with officially signing Lucien Clarke and giving both parties their first signature skating shoe.

Pro Skater Lucien Clarke has been around thanks to appearing on a variety of different Palace Skateboards promo videos and previews. The skater models Palace wear and has created a name for himself not only in the skating world but the fashion world as well. With Virgil Abloh leading the Louis Vuitton Men’s wear team now, it’s a no brainer the luxury brand would add their take to one of the hottest categories of sneakers out right now, skating.

Lucien Clarke was given free rein to design a skating shoe to his liking which created this debut colorway of an all-black sneaker. Similar to all skating shoes, the model comes constructed in a mix of mesh and suede. Featuring ’90s aesthetics, the era is capitalized on with a utility-like lacing system that crosses and ties the shoe down. A boastful tongue and heel add much-needed skating support while Louis Vuitton branding is showcased on the tongue and heel, for this edition in orange. A translucent black midsole allows red detailing to highlight LV branding while a gradient arch overlay finishes off the monumental first design.

A release date has yet to be announced but the shoe is expected to be showcased in a Thrasher Magazine very soon which features Lucien himself skating in his very own upcoming signature shoe. Another thing to look for is what Palace’s role will be in the collaboration as an LV Palace skateboard was included in the anticipated Thrasher shoot. As always, we will be monitoring the story very closely so make sure to keep it locked to JustFreshKicks for all the updates going forward.
