South African artist Karabo Poppy has teamed up with Nike By You to release three different customizable Air Force 1 silhouettes.
Karabo Poppy has multiple creative titles to her name. An award winning illustrator and street artist, she has partnered with the NBA and now Nike has recognized her by allowing her to add her take to three different Nike Air Force 1 By You iterations.
Each pair arrives with a different makeover that portrays her African culture in its core. The various colorways are inspired by traditional African beaded bracelets with vibrant palettes that include red, orange, green and purple. Poppy also drew design inspiration from barber and beauty salon posters that line the streets in South Africa. Overall a very cool collaboration that showcases African Culture at its best which will be loved by many sneaker fans.
