The Jordan Air Ship “Rust Pink” Releases Spring 2024

The Air Ship, rereleased for the first time ever this year by Jordan Brand, will continue to be a part of their retro lineup in 2024. This week, a new Spring-ready colorway in “Rust Pink” emerged, set for a mid-March drop.

The Air Ship has long been an essential part of Jordan Brand history. The model was the first shoe worn by Michael Jordan after signing with Nike in the early 1980s, before the iconic AJ1 was ready to wear on the court. After he transitioned to the signature model, the Ship faded into obscurity, only referenced when talking about the GOAT’s history of on-court shoes. This year, the high-top model returned for the first time ever, bringing back some original colorways as well as several high-profile collaborations with the likes of A Ma Maniere, Corporate, and more. Now, a new color blocking has surfaced as a part of their Spring 2024 lineup, bearing a closer resemblance to the OG Air Jordan 1 blocking. Using white leather for the upper’s base, this pair adds “Rust Pink” leather to the forefoot overlays, as well as the Swooshes and collar pieces.

Jordan Brand’s next release of their retro Air Ship has been scheduled to arrive on March 13th, 2023, though this has not been made official by Nike yet. Dressed in “Rust Pink” and white leather, pairs will be available from both the SNKRS app and select retailers for $140.
