Everyone knows by now that the Air Jordan 1 will release in over 30 different colorways this year. Now, we finally have a release date for the new take on a classic black & red look. Introducing the “6 Rings” Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG.

The Air Jordan 1 is set to have a big year in 2018, as multiple colorways of the legendary shoe have already leaked. Now, another new AJ1 has appeared, taking elements from previous hits like the Black Toe 1s. The “6 Rings” Jordan 1 is a brand new take on the classic black, white, and red color scheme, and celebrates Michael Jordan’s 6 NBA championship wins. This time, Jordan Brand opted for an underused color blocking, painting the Swoosh and heel red, while keeping a black mudguard around the toe. These are layered on top of white paneling that provides a clean backdrop for the bold colors. The fan-favorite Nike Air branding returns in a bright red on top of a black tongue to accentuate the shoe. To finish, this pair will come with a plain white midsole and bloody red outsole. The images suggest that Jordan Brand will be using high-quality leather for this shoe, perhaps even suede on the red Swoosh and heel. The insoles will also be decorated to finish off the pair, with one featuring 6 NBA trophy playing cards and the other featuring a collage of Jordan themed cards.
