Jayson Tatum looks to have his own Nike Air Max 97 dedicated to him as the NBA forward and Nike look to be teaming up soon for a special edition sneaker.

Boston Celtics Forward, Jayson Tatum quickly became a star on and off the court. Although this is just his second year in the league, the 21-year-old is considered as one of the most popular faces in the game. His incredible basketball IQ draw many to him but off of the court, he is known for his great style. That’s probably exactly why he’s getting a non-basketball shoe dedicated to him, check out this first look at the Jayson Tatum x Nike Air Max 97.

The sneaker is dressed in red and black, a nod to his high school, Chaminade College Preparatory School in Creve Coeur, Missouri. The upper comes in red and black and features a mudguard that has a basketball design on it. The shoe then sees highlights of silver as it takes on a silver midsole and tongue tab logos that say “Tatum” and “The Deuce”, his nickname. Another symbolic design is on the bottoms, “314” is written in, a Missouri area code. To finish off the look, the chunky sneaker sits on top of a red and white Air Max Unit.

As of now a release date has not been announced but a drop time in the near future is expected. Furthermore, check out detailed pictures below and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for updates on this sneaker as well as other Nike Air Max news.
