Vans Vault continues their artist series this week with a new collection of select Vans silhouettes. This time, the artist is Frida Kahlo, Mexico’s legendary painter, and portrait artist. Check out some of her work, shown across the Sk8-Hi, Slip-On, and Authentic.

Vans series of artist-inspired footwear has grown tremendously in recent years. Projects with Ralph Steadman, Disney, and more have already hit shelves this year, giving consumers plenty of chances at a beautiful interpretation of their standard silhouettes. This week, the special releases continue with a new collection inspired by the artwork of Frida Kahlo. Using the Sk8-Hi, OG Authentic, and classic Slip-On as their canvasses, the team at Vans Vault have applied a unique piece of her artwork to each shoe, two self-portraits for the Sk8-Hi and classic Slip-On, as well as a colorful all-over watermelon print with embroidered details.
